Medik8 Crystal Retinal 3 30ml

Medik8 Crystal Retinal 3 is an evening serum-cream with 0.03% retinaldehyde (retinal), a form of vitamin A. It helps improve the appearance of fine lines, uneven texture and dullness, and Medik8 recommends strength 3 for new vitamin A users.

What it does

Crystal Retinal uses stabilised retinal, which Medik8 says can deliver visible results up to 11 times faster than classic forms of retinol. It helps minimise the look of fine lines and wrinkles and smooth skin texture overnight. The naturally peach-coloured serum-cream has a comforting vanilla and tonka bean aroma.

Is Crystal Retinal 3 the right strength?

How to introduce Crystal Retinal 3

1. Patch test at least 24 hours before first use.
2. After evening cleansing, apply a small amount (about two pumps) to the face, neck and décolletage, let it absorb, then moisturise.
3. Use twice a week for two weeks, then every other night for two weeks, then every night as tolerated.
4. Wear sunscreen every morning while using it, and for one week after you stop.

Medik8 advises avoiding vitamin A during pregnancy or breastfeeding; discuss ingredients with your GP or midwife.
